    I'm actually currently having pretty much this issue, I just assumed that the white strands were indeed crystals precipitating out. However, I still can't get it to hold right at this point. Perhaps the vial I used wasn't actually sterile? I've never had this problem either.

    NPP Problems (help)

    So I (against my better judgement) made some NPP at 200mg/ml and for some reason it's not holding. Will this hold at that concentration with the normal 2% BA and 20% BB recipe normally? I know most other short esthers I've made don't hold that high (hence why I was skeptical to begin with)...
