Whey protein- concentrate or isolate?

I obviously can't speak for them, but probably because isolate protein is pure, that is it contains mostly protein by percent as opposed to fats and carbs. The concentrate isn't as pure and has extra fat and carbs. Post-workout the fats will only serve to slow the absorption of protein. Also, I believe isolate protein is higher in amino acid concentration, but don't quote me on that.-

Yes, isolate tends to be pur whey without any added fat/carbs, so pwo would be a good time to consume Isolate with dextrose.
Concentrate tends to have added fat/carbs/etc...so during the day, pre-workout , would be a good time to consume concentrate or even as a last meal before bed.
