Teenager Gyno????? - 04-23-2013, 07:13 PM

Was wondering if anyone has ever heard of this. My 17 year old son seems to have the symptoms but has never touched aas in any way shape or form (and yes im sure) protien shakes are about the limit for him. Hes very athletic football wrestling mma track. 6'2" 220lbs. Hes becoming very self conscious about it his nipples are kinda puffy and it feels like hes got a small bump behind them. Was wondering if anyone has ever heard of this and if so remedies?

I'm not super familiar with it but yes I've heard of it. Same reason as aas users I believe. Excess estrogen or some other hormone. You should take him to the dr and have them run a panel.
Insurance will cover surgery too sometimes for this.

When I was younger (17 I think), my mom took me to the dr because of it. We were scared it was cancer. The dr sent me to a specialist. He told me it was pubertal gyno caused by hormone imbalance. I was not taking any aas at the time. The specialist said it would eventually go away. Guess what, it never did.

Some people's go away, some don't. Now being on aas, I manage to keep it maintained and I'm currently saving up for the surgery.

Highly doubt insurance will cover it (its not life threatening) but good luck.

Srd I had that bro.. its like fordfan described ..I even squeezed my nipple and some clear shit came out. Hurt like hell..one question .does he dabble in wacky tobacky at all..I'm guessing not but it makes moobs grow on teen males as you will notice on some of our earth friendly kids at the beach. keep an eye on it
And I bet a few months its gone.. the more exercise he can do will help his test levels even out.thus less teen male estro..ib

Lab corp or medlab online for blood estro/ free floating test are cheaper than office visit etc

Agree with bloodwork done. I may get heat from this but since I starting before his age, if you put him on anything, do it right an dont forget to use gh if he's still growing

He tried it once IB then told me about it the next day lol hes a really good kid straight A and a good athlete to boot. Im gonna have some labs run on him this week that way we know for sure. He says their not sensative and they dont hurt at all. They just look puffy and they seem to have somewhat of a small knot im just not sure so i think labs would be the best place to start.

Sounds like a good kid. I got pubertal gyno right around puberty when I was 13. Hard, sensitive, very painful lumps.

If it were my son (and I have an 16 year old), I would seek a Dr's professional opinion.

go to doc. its probably gyno from puberty. not all too uncommon really. he would probably prescribe some nolvadex of letro. would get bloodwork to check natural test/estro/prolactin levels. if either is high, you know how to handle it

p.s I said the same thing when I was his age about gear and look at me now. I graduated 4.8 gpa and 40 college credits when I left highschool. you don't have to be an idiot to smoke weed, drink or do aas. its called exploration and most people do it. I did and still do. good people enjoy bad things.

Pubescent gyno is extremely common- and the causes are somewhat unknown. It is not always associated with high E2 levels but more so that estro/test ratio is off and that in its self can set off the proliferation of gyno tissue.

This often seen in athletes, when MMA fighters who are clean and not on any kind of steroid are dieting severely which in turns causes their test levels to drop this can cause an u favorable ratio and cause gyno.

I would get him to a doctor ASAP. If you have insurance it should cover it since he's a minor. Demand the BEST plastic surgery you can find.

I wondered this about my son also(13). Wonder if a doc would prescribe an AI to control estrogen at least until the hormones settled down.

Not the end of the world friend. Sadley your son has an estrogen issue that needs to be delt with. DONT deciede to treat this yourself. Take him to the doc and have a panel pulled and treated as it should be. If he has an issue it isn't related to rebound so it could be something he needs through out life. Get it done quickly before he starts getting shit from other kids in the locker room. Kidds can be so crewl.
Once this is handled he will be a stronger version of himself and other welcome changes may take place. Good luck.

I am going to bet his Estro levels come back totally normal-

I swear gyno is way more complex than "estro levels"

I wanted to comment in this threrad a while ago but never got around to it. When i was about 12 I noticed some lumps under my nipples. No big deal...Doc said that it happens during puberty and will go away. Well a few years later, they are still there and they are painful to the touch.

I go to get an ultrasound done and find out it is fucking breast tissue! This is in my mid teens. Doc says it isn't bad enough for surgery and wants to see if it goes away and runs some blood tests. Sees that my LH and FSH are really low. He concludes that I am just hitting puberty late... and foolishly we never followed up.

Fast forward to two years ago. I start getting some really strange symptoms. Hot flashes, headaches, lethargy, very moody, depressed, can't gain weight, no libido.... I get some hormone panels done and have an MRI done on my head and find out my pituitary gland is all sorts of fucked up. And had I known that years in advance, I would have never been through the shit i had to go through.

So, bottom line, get your son tested by a good endocrinologist and make sure his hormones are normal for his age. If so, it might just go away, and if something is wrong, you can treat it before it gets out of hand.
