Question I never was good at math - 10-19-2013, 09:04 AM

If you have 5000iu of a dry substance how much of another substance do you add to that to get a vial at 5000iu of liquid?

And yes i read this but its not making any sense.

Not really sure what you are asking. Regardless of how much bac water for instance adding to it to reconstitute there will still be 5000 iu you just have to divide 5000 by how much substance you add to do the math and figure the dosing. Example if you add 1cc of bac water to reconstitute 5000 iu then there is 5000iu in 1 cc

Correct I think what the op is asking us is how much liquid to add and tell him how much to use after it's reconstituted to equal his desired iu per dose?

I'm assuming that you have hcg-

If you add 1ml of sterile water now you have a solution of

5000iu per ml-

If you use a 100 iu Slin pin then each "tick" is going to be 50ius of hcg

So put 1ml of sterile water into the vial and for every "iu" on the syringe it will be 50ius of hcg and you can draw up more water into the pin if you want to dilute the hcg within the syringe

if you have 5000 iu of HCG that alone is a mistake because if you pin 500 iu's E5D then your HCG will be useless after 30 days. That being said, pin 1 ml of back water into the HCG (be careful it will suck it it in quick and bubbles are no good you need to go slow) then draw it out into a 10ml vial and add 9 ml of bac water and you have 10 ml of HCG dosed at 500 iu/ml. DISCLAIMER: HCG can be good up to 45 days if refrigerated. Next time buy the 2500 size. My .02

HCG will not start to loose potency for 90 mixed with bac water and stored in the refridgerator

Yeah I wanted to know if I receive an amp with 5000iu of dry hcg...what is the correct amount of bac water to add to that I don't want to ruin it or water it down so to speak.

Most of the vials I have gotten from the local pharm are 6000iu vial liquid ( board source has 5000iu dry) and I am scripted to do 500 2x wk.

So I am getting the sterile 10ml vials some bac water to reconstitute it and I need to know how to do it correctly.
