Step 1 – Determine what your total volume will be.
First you have to decide what concentration of hormone you would like. Then you can calculate your total volume by this formula:

total g / (g per ml) = total ml

In the first part of the equation there is a conversion required from milligrams to grams. There are 1000mg in 1g. So if you wanted to make your hormone at 250mg per ml you would use (0.250g per ml) or if you wanted to make it at 100mg per ml you would use (0.100g per ml) in that part of the equation. The total g is the total number of grams you want to use.

Here is an example if you have 50g and want to make 250mg/ml
50g / (0.250g per ml) = 200ml

Here is an example if you have 5g and want to make 100mg/ml
5g / (0.100g per ml) = 50ml

Step 2 – Determine how much BA and BB you will need.
When you calculate a percentage the percentage is expressed as a decimal. 3% is 0.03, 5% would be 0.05, and 20% would be 0.20 etc. You can calculate your volume of BA and BB by multiplying the percentage of each and the total volume from step 1. Calculate with this formula:

(total ml) x (% of BA) = ml of BA

(total ml) x (% of BB) = ml of BB

Here is an example if you are making 200ml total with 3% BA and 20% BB
0.03 x 200ml = 6ml BA
0.20 x 200ml = 40ml BB

Here is an example if you were making 50ml with 3%BA and 20% BB
0.03 x 50ml = 1.5ml BA
0.20 x 50ml = 10ml BB

Step 3 – Calculate the volume of your powder in your solution.
Don’t forget that the powder takes up space in your solution. It’s like when you get into your bathtub, the water level goes up as you get it. Later, you will need this to figure out how much oil to add. If you know the exact density of the hormone you are using you can plug that number into the formula. In general the powder calculators use an average density (d) of d=0.75g/ml and that will work out to be close enough for many of the things we do. Density is mass / volume (g/ml). I.e. how much volume a particular weight of hormone will take up in your final solution. To calculate the volume of hormone use this formula:

d x g of hormone = volume of hormone in ml

Here is an example if you have 50g of hormone and use d=0.75g/ml
0.75g/ml x 50g = 37.5ml (volume of hormone)

Here is an example if you have 5g of hormone and use d=0.75g/ml
0.75g/ml x 5g = 3.75ml (volume of hormone)

Step 4 – Calculate the amount of oil needed.
What you basically do add your hormone, BA, BB, and then fill with oil to the total volume. To calculate the amount of oil needed you simply subtract the volume of BA, volume of BB, and volume of hormone from the total ml in step one. Use this formula to calculate the amount of oil to use:

Total ml – ml of BA – ml of BB – volume of hormone in ml = amount of oil

Here is an example if you were using 50g of hormone to make 200ml of 250mg/ml hormone with 3% BA and 20% BB.
200ml – 6ml BA – 40ml BB – 37.5ml (volume of hormone) = 116.5ml of oil

Here is an example if you were using 5g of hormone to make 50ml of 100mg/ml hormone with 3% BA and 20% BB
50ml – 1.5ml BA – 10ml BB – 3.75ml (volume of hormone) = 34.75ml of oil

Step 5 - Put it all together.
In my examples I did calculations to make 50g of hormone at 250mg/ml with 3% BA and 20% BB. Here it is all put together.
50g/(0.250g per ml) = 200ml total
200ml x 0.03 = 6ml BA
200ml x 0.20 = 40ml BB
(0.75g/ml) x 50g = 37.5ml volume of hormone
200ml – 6ml BA – 40ml BB – 37.5ml volume of hormone = 116.5ml of oil

In my examples I also did calculations to make 5 g of hormone at 100mg/ml with 3% BA and 20% BB. Here it is all put together.
5g/(0.100g per ml) = 50ml total
50ml x 0.03 = 1.5ml BA
50ml x 0.20 = 10ml BB
(0.75g/ml) x 5g = 3.75ml volume of hormone
50ml – 1.5ml BA – 10ml BB – 3.75ml volume of hormone = 34.75ml of oil
