ok guys I got a 150ml Millipore stericup filter ,this is the first time using one, do you have to purge these things like syringe filters, you run an extra 2ml through it to purge the gear out of syringe filter ,now these Millipore stericups using hand vaccum pump will they require purging with extra oil if so how much extra, thoughts please

just hold back a little oil and run it through in the end to make sure you clean it out but they do not hold much. make sure you do not put too much pressure on it as the plastic bottle can easily shatter. i would say no more than 10lbs of pressure but someone who has used one recently may have a more accurate number. good luck!
