Computer Question? - 05-21-2005, 03:21 PM

Does anyone have a problem with adshooter? an adware pest that my PC blocks. But too damn often, pops onto my taskbar and interrupts things a lil bit.
CAN YOU DELETE IT FROM THE REGISTRY??
ya know,command prompt...C:/regedit?
Anyone know about this?
My spybot S&D will not remove it...

Adshooter isn't in add/remove Control panel. Thats why I was askin about deleting it from the registry. It's hidden in my NetBios or some shi*.
Ill check the two programs you mentioned wolf.
my Spybot search & destroy cleans up adware garbage real well.
Dont know why it wont.
Dont know how ADSHOOTER loaded itself on my machine either.??

Microsoft has a spyware program in beta form that is free called "microsoft antispyware" give it a try. Also, make sure your Windows is up to date by going to windows update and having it check your PC. Microsoft often releases fixes and has had quite a few malicious spyware removal tools as part of recent updates. Also do a google search on the Adshooter, and see if there are specific threads on how to remove it. Is your spybot up to date as well? Try this http://www.spywareremove.com/removeAdShooter.html
