Hi All,

I've just got my bloods back, and they confirm what I've thought for a long time - I have low testosterone.

I'm 38, otherwise in good shape, decent strength & put on muscle quite easily. Poor energy levels and very low libido, however.

Results:

Serum free testosterone 213pmol/L (range 243 to 571)
Serum testosterone 14.0 nnmol/L (range 11.40 to 27.90)
Serum albumin 50g/L (range 35 to 52)
Serum sex hormone binding glob 47 nmol/L (range 18 to 54)

I wondered what you guys would recommend as TRT from my GP. I'm thinking Androgel initally, because it's billed as more closely matching your day to day testosterone rising and falling.

I also thought if I feel good after a couple of months on Androgel, I'll move over to Nebido for convenience.

All thoughts appreciated :)

You won't find many Androgel fans here.

15 - 20 mgs of any form of Test E or C injected daily is my preference. The low daily amounts help keep Estrogen in check.

Skip the hassle of androgel and like sandpig said break up your injections into smaller doses. Use a slin pin and you'll be good to go

Hi All,

I got prescribed Testogel 50mg sachets today, so like Androgel.

The idea being to use this for 6 weeks, see how I feel and what my T levels come back as on new blood tests.

Then move onto shots, if that's what we all agree on.

I don't mind injections - I did a few cycles about 15 years ago (and had 20 nnmol natural test long after a cycle, so this low T is relatively new).

Re the slin pins, can oil based test be injected sub q then? The daily low dose shots, make a lot more sense, I agree.

What are your thoughts on Nebido and its very long half life, and one injection every 12 weeks?

In reference to the slin pins...I tried subcutaneous and didn't like the painful lump that it left. So, I just shoot IM with the slin pins. Works great for me. No scarring is a huge plus.
