All you are trying to extract is the complete email header that tells you effectively the route taken from the sender to your machine. To extract email headers from Gmail:
Open the email message.
Click the down arrow adjacent to the Reply link in the upper-right corner of the email message
Click Show Original.
Copy and paste the header information into the Email Header Analysis Engine, and click Submit header for analysis
How to extract email headers from Hotmail
To extract email headers from Hotmail:
Login to your Hotmail account.
Click on Options tab on the top navigation bar
Click on the Mail Display Settings link
Change the Message Headers option to Full
Click the OK button
Copy and paste the header information into the Email Header Analysis Engine, and click Submit header for analysis

Click the File
Click Properties
Locate Internet Headers (bottom of the popup window)
