Does anyone have a problem with adshooter? an adware pest that my PC blocks. But too damn often,pops onto my taskbar and interrupts things a lil bit.
CAN YOU DELETE IT FROM THE REGISTRY??
ya know,command prompt...C:/regedit?
Anyone know about this?
My spybot S&D will not remove it... :confused:

go to add/remove programs in the control panel......delete anything bad.........

Adshooter isn't in add/remove Control panel. Thats why I was askin about deleting it from the registry.It's hidden in my NetBios or some shi*.
Ill check the two programs you mentioned wolf.
my Spybot search & destroy cleans up adware garbage real well.
Dont know why it wont.
Dont know how ADSHOOTER loaded itself on my machine either.??

Microsoft has a spyware program in beta form that is free called "microsoft antispyware" give it a try. Also, make sure your Windows is up to date by going to windows update and having it check your PC. Microsoft often releases fixes and has had quite a few malicious spyware removal tools as part of recent updates. Also do a google search on the Adshooter, and see if there are specific threads on how to remove it. Is your spybot up to date as well? Try this http://www.spywareremove.com/removeAdShooter.html

Alright will do.
but man, last couple of times I ran the microsoft critical updates the fixes made my machine glitch in some new wierder way...BOOM. "Fatal exception blue screen".I'll check the rest. thanx J

AdShooter Description
AdShooter is an Internet Explorer browser helper object that may contact its controlling server to download and display pop-up advertisements when the websites you visit match its keyword list.

AdShooter Removal Instructions

Before you can delete files, you must first stop all the AdShooter processes that are running in memory.
Do this by ending all processes from the Task Manager.
Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to open the Windows Task Manager. If you see multiple
"tabs," click on the "Processes" tab. For each process that you would like
to kill, find the process name in the list, click it to select it, and click
the "End Process" button.



Delete registry values Instructions:
Open the Windows Registry Editor by clicking on the Windows "Start" button,
clicking "Run," and typing "regedit" into the box in the Window that appears. Click "OK".
Once the Registry Editor is open, navigate through the registry tree to the
location of the key that you wish to delete. When you find the key or
value to be deleted, click on it to highlight it and press the "DELETE" key.
