I'm surprised that I haven't seen this question yet, but What's the deal with drinking while on cycle? I want to start my first cycle but i'm going on a vacation about week 6-7 and i want to know if i had a few drinks if that would be bad, or affect my gains or anything like that.

First of all there is more than one reason bro. First off, if you are doing any orals, most of them are liver toxic. Addind a substance like alchohol to the mix only intensifies the amount of work the liver has to do. Secondly, alchohol has a very negative effect on natural testosterone levels, which is obviously bad. So I guess the short answers is YES...Drinking while on cycle is bad. Really, if you wanted to get technical, it's bad all together and is counter to all the work we put in the gym. But, I like you enjoy my booze, and it is a difficult thing for me to completely eliminate.

I knew there would be reasons not to do it. There are no orals in my cycle. I was more looking to see if it's totally evil and should be avoided at all costs, or could I enjoy a few drinks one or two nights without totally messing it all up. Anyone out there ever have a few drinks on cycle?

the one time I drank more than 1 beer while on cycle, I put a hole in my wall and swung 2 of my friends around like rag dolls who were trying to hold me back. Besides the liver issues and anti-health issues, alcohol and gear can be a combo for disaster.

Damn, I guess that would be bad. Especially because i get like that sometimes when i drink too much as it is, rarely, but it's happened. I could probably afford to lose the booze anyways. Great advice guys.

There are threads that deal with cycling and drinking. Do a search on alcohol. Drinking does lower test levels. With the time and money one puts into a cycle, save the drinking for later. 1 or 2 drinks once a while won't hurt you but I wouldn't go and get blasted!

Stay away from the whiskey!
I read a study that proved that whiskey increases estrogen levels in the body and has even led to gyno in heavy whiskey drinkers and we all know gyno is bad.

Wow. Glad I'm not a hard booze guy...but I LOVE beer :) Just found out that my favorite beer (Tennents from Scotland) is not available anymore in the U.S.

Bummed me out.

Beer is definitely the hardest thing for me to stay away from when i'm on a cycle. And off of cycle too. Just sucks that everything you really like is bad for ya.

I love my Heiny's...but I just switched to Beck Premium Light it has 64 calories and doesn't taste too bad.....Hey I'm getting married on June 28th in Punta Cunta or something like that...Dominican Rebublic...I'll be peaked at the end of my cycle by then...It's an all inclusive but they said there's no beer.....Oh Boy...My poor liver will be screaming, but at least I won't be doing any orals then....Just 600 mgs of deca and 1100 mg's of sust...I may taper the deca down...Last thing I need is deca dick on my honeymoon.....Perhaps I'll hit the sources up for some viagra or cialis...

In my own world
You can have a few drink and it won't effect your cycle. They say red wine is the best choice. But I have had a few drinks before and had no problems. In fact I have had plenty and a few other bad choices as well. But that's me. Don't sweat the little stuff. But keep it out of your regular regimen.

That's damn good news. I know it would be bad for my gains to drink all the time. But i have to have a few every now and then. That was the biggest obstacle in my way in the past 2 years. I've been lifting for 3 years and for the first year I got stronger, but I could never gain much weight other than more beer belly weight. But after I Quit drinking so much I went from 140 to 175 in two years, also grew and inch and a half taller.
