Choice for Starting to Use Hormones

I've read people say that they regretted using steroids too early. I'm talking about people who started even at 25. What do most people mean by this and if you have your own experience what do you mean by this?

Are there physiological issues using hormones before getting close to your genetic potential? It seems like their wouldn't be much issues if the HPTA fully developed. Is it psychological issues? Is it not being ready to really utilize and understand how to eat and train during a cycle?

I just did a quick search and found this. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to link it, but it's an interesting topic/idea. HPTA recovery a MYTH?

The main point of the thread is basically to see people's personal experiences. Why they started to use and if they regret any aspect then why.

Peak testosterone production occurs in most men between 18-early/mid 20's. IMO it is foolish to mess with any exogenous hormones in that period. Train hard, eat right and let nature run it's course.

For the serious lifter, where it is a part of your lifestyle, I think it is best in the long run to wait until you're getting near the TRT phase of life to start.

It's conservative, but I think ultimately best for health and longevity in the weight room.

I know what you are saying, but do you have any more specific things. Like in terms of health and longevity do you mean steroids, or at least how weightlifters will use them, will have some degree of negative impact? No one ever stays perfectly safe. There are a balance of things. Do you mean people tend to get injured more when using steroids? Just pushing it harder? Maybe thinking they are invincible?

It just seems that a good portion of people on forums say they wish they waited to use steroids. I never really hear the actual reasons that make the person think that. It's a personal thing, but I think it would be interesting and valuable to hear.

Agreed. When your that young age take advantage of your own natural hormone production.

At those ages it makes sense, but what is the deal with a lot of guys who are like 35 and started at 25 and wish they started earlier? I guess there is no concrete physiological or lifestyle things. It must just be subjective personal things.

It just seems vague when I read threads and older guys say this wish they started a little later in life.

It sounds like people who think they should have started later are people that weren't ready at the time. It seems like if someone does enough research and knows what to take and how to eat and train then they don't really seem to regret the decision.

Choosing to take AAS is a huge decision that can have life long implications. I started at around 21 which was way too young IMHO. I don't think anyone should start that early unless they plan on competing professionally and understand the serious problems that AAS can lead to. For everyone else I think you should wait until your forties.

i started around 18yo. gettin 50-clomids or 100-dbols or a jug of Dynabol50 or 100 clen tabs all for $150+ each and being told itll put size on me. lies lies lies.

i wish i waited until around 23-25yo when i knew what i was doin. my first actual cycle was around that age. i put on 30ish lbs and knew lots. but at a young age(under 25) you can def use your natural levels to pack on muscle.

heres my answer...

When u stop growing FAST naturally...and know what u need to know...how much...how often..which AAS to use with what...know how to eat n workout properly...

then jump aboard the train and watch yourself grow!!

but ask anyone that knows and theyll say the same thing...
Diet n exercise(and genetics) are most important...then AAS.
