1) Keep protein intake high

2) Keep calories high (clean if possible to avoid fat gain)

3) Lower training volume somewhat, but dont stop working out, maybe take an extra day or so off the first few weeks of post cycle

4) Still stick with low reps high weight and fairly low volume

5) Creatine, 5-10g per day

6) Glutamine 10-20g per day

7) HCG at the end of your cycle (huge difference IMO in post cycle recovery)

8) Clomid, nolvadex

9) Lots of sleep

10) Avoid alcohol, and other recreational drugs (especially drugs like mdma, coke, speed, ritalin, adderall, etc. although if hopefully this isnt even an issue with you, but I figured I’d mention it).

11) Avoid alot of cardio

12) Follow the 120-150 Rule, meaning eat every 120-150 minutes (2-2.5 hrs) Don’t let yourself go very long without a meal (always include protein in that meal whether it be from food or a shake…food is always better though)

13) Take ZMA on a nightly basis. This difference is prob minor but isn’t a bad idea as I find I get a better night sleep on it, and insufficient zinc in one’s diet can cause low testosterone levels.

14) Avoid stress, you want to keep cortisol to a minimum post cycle.

15) Control cortisol with phosphatidylserine , 800-1200 mg per day roughly reduces cortisol levels by 30-45 % , then add in 2-5 gms of vit c

16) The use of clenbuterol can be useful , beta agonists in the muscles helps increase protein synthesis, but I don’t use it pct so I can’t speak for it personally.

17) Winstrol is beneficial in the last couple weeks of a cycle because it is a very mild AAS in terms of its affect on HTPA, plus it’ll help you lean out a bit at the end (get rid of some water retention, etc) and make the gains that you have made more solidified.

18) Arginine and Citruline can be very useful post cycle…thats right NO2 supplements. Now whether or not you have gotten the hyped up gains that they claim is dependent on you, but Arginine and Citruline do infact cause nitrogen retention, which is very important during your pct.

I can’t speak for myself personally. But have close friends who swore by using toremfiene during their PCT along with HCG and has lot less side effects and recovered good

Great advice. The key is sticking to a good diet (high protein) and keep training hard but with less volume and more recovery time. HGH and slin could be used when off aas to maintain or even grow post cycle.

Great pct stack. I think HCG makes the biggest difference. Then afterwards a few weeks of toremifene or even tamoxifen. I always try to train hard and maintain strength but after pct there needs to be more rest between workouts otherwise I get burnt out. I always have a rest period afterwards or at the very least before going back on cycle.

I think most people just lose motivation to train and eat right when they come off....

Good post and timing...coming off of a blast at the moment and need all the advice I can get. Also doesn't help that I just switched careers and moved halfway across the globe (access to drugs in my new location is a huge question mark currently), but at least in terms of diet/training this offers some pointers that I'll follow, thanks K1.

Good post. Many seem to lose all motivation when they come off. It's the same for people who think they can only make gains on cycle. That mindset is usually the reason why people fall off diets and stop going to the gym.

Great thread ! I agree people forget eating and training are the cornerstone. You can gain off cycle . Training periodization , varying methods rep cadence , set duration all variables that need to change consistently to avoid going stale on cycle and off . Just cuz something works don’t mean stay forever . No it’s part of a phase that one utilizes for a period then stops uses another method then revisit . If you don’t do that then you miss the boat . The body thrives on the concept of homeostasis. It and every micro aspect of your body adapts . Adapts to diet , adjusts to training volume , weight , movements. The term cycle implies levels of change . Even using AAS you need to rotate compounds . You see guys ten years going to gym. Look ok but no change from day they set foot in gym . Some guys take drugs but are shocked they don’t look like Arnold or Ronnie Coleman ( sorry my faves ) first we all have various lifestyles genetics while generally we are all same species . Individually we are very different. Very different. Know thy self and embrace change . That’s bodybuilding simplified

Solid thread. I have learnt over the years regardless of genetics no one can have that on look when they are off. Coming off and recovering as fast as possible is key to maintaining as much as possible. Walking around with crashed test and elevated estrogen will do nothing for your physique so you need to limit the damage. Many have got it down well and they may soften up but if they are on point they can look great.

Any different recommendations for coming off of a cycle into a cruise? (for those of us old guys on TRT :)). Current dose per my doctor is 150mg/wk. Keeps me right in the mid to high 500 range, which is where he likes to see it come blood test time.

A couple stand out as not needed.

But are there any additional tips that might be relevant for what would equate to a blast and cruise cycle for keeping gains? Thanks!

I’ve found actually increasing calories and focusing on recovery to work best for my clients that decide to come off cycle
