Short Cycles

So when I cycle, I usually grow like a weed for the first 4 weeks, then grow a little more weeks 5 and 6, then it pretty much stops, although I still get strength gains.

So what I'm thinking is why bother going longer than 4 weeks? I could just blast some short esters and an oral for 4 weeks, then get out while the going's good, instead of staying on for longer and stressing my system out more.

Anybody done something like this? The way I see it: a shorter cycle = an easier PCT = better recovery = can go back on cycle faster.

My last cycle was 6 weeks and I put on 15 lbs. I thought that was pretty respectable. I love being on and if I could stay on indefinitely without repercussion I would do it. However, we all know that is unsafe and unwise.

If you can hold onto your gains post 4-6 week cycle, then I say what do you have to lose? Less strain on the body and faster recovery due to less time being shut down is win-win as I see it.

The technique you are referring to is called, Blast n Cruise. Now, the most common arrangement is 8 on 2 off or 8 on 4 off. Now, let's pause for some science (not bro science). On average a human can gain around .25 lbs per week. So, at best you're (rhetorical, not you specifically)looking at 12 lbs a year. Not a week or a cycle. Now, you say that's total BS. Ok, so in the last two years you have put on 25 lbs and 100 in four years? Hell, the way some guys talk they put on 50 lbs in a year.

So, if we are being real and would be happy with 12 lbs a year (for me it averages 8lbs) because we accept the estimate of .25 then we need to realize we need a certain length of time to build some muscle. Sure the first few weeks/month or so are great as the scale climbs and the water weight increases out leverage, but that is smoke and mirrors. The true gains are on a cellular level and amount to just a few kept pounds whe everything washes out.

Now, if you are going to run a full PCT you will be spending a lot of time off. And more on PCT then gear, which is fine...but not going to gain any serious weight. But, you will notice serious improvement, just not the bbing kind is all.

Good luck,
Hawk

Ya if you don't blast and cruise and actually come off seems logical....I have no evidence to support it but I have read bro science saying the body doesn't feel safe keeping the 30 pounds after a 12-16 week cycle so it gets rid of 20 and your left with 10, whereas with a short cycle you gain 5-10 pounds but the body accepts this smaller amount and hold onto it all....good question tho

I've always wanted to try getting some of that suboxone stuff that is the new methadone for opiate addicts...I've read where it could block the opidoid receptor which is also tied to the androgen receptor in the brain somehow...so you could do a cycle and "hide" it from your brain which would stop it from pulling back on LH which stops FSH and shrinks the testes and bla bla bla...that would be sweet

That's the first time I've heard of suboxone being used that way. Is there any scientific reading on it, or is it just bro speculation?

Hypogonadism in men consuming sustained-action oral opioids
that one is just saying extended release opiate use kills your sex hormones...so the theory I guess would be steroids kill your balls, opiates kill your balls, what blocks opiates from killing your balls (suboxone) would also be the same thing that blocks aas from killing your balls lol

Naltrexone on cycle?

New Theory on PCT!

U Opiod antagonists to prevent HPTA supression or shutdown

so I guess naltrexone is what you would want...one guy stated the dose needed to avoid suppression is 5-6mg eod whereas the dose for opiate addicts is 50mg plus so would be pretty safe in theory lol

I dunno if messing with opiod type meds is the best to gain/keep some muscle

haha yes for sure...and pointless if you blast and cruise/do TRT/never come off...kinda off topic I guess...except for theoretically making pct unnecessary...

Some of the men who take the drug say it's like viagra, kind of interesting...I don't think it being an opiod type drug makes it any crazier than say taking insulin if that's what ya mean..

Some guys do it with short acting esters. I do my best on 8 weeks MINIMUM,,I'm still making gains during week 6
