This is pretty gruesome. Could have been potentially fatal.

Cris Cyborg posts photo of ex-husband's fractured skull | Larry Brown Sports

Cris Cyborg Justino posted a photo on Sunday that shows the gruesome damage her ex-husband Evangelista Santos suffered in a loss at Bellator 158 on Saturday.

Bellator 158 took place in London, with Santos losing to Michael Page in the second round of their main card bout via flying knee. Santos went down in pain immediately, and now it’s clear why.

Santos suffered a fractured skull in the loss. You can visibly see the front of his skull above his eyes with a major dent in the photo shared by Cris.

In her post, Cris Cyborg Justino said Evangelista has not had surgery yet because doctors are concerned about swelling in his brain. She also says they are planning to set up a GoFund Me.

“Fight fans Please say a prayer for my Ex husband Cyborg Santos,” Cris Justino wrote on Instagram. “Many of you watched him fight on Spike TV this weekend when he suffered this injury while fighting in London. Cyborg is still in the hospital in the UK, and they are not sure when he will be able to fly again. He has not had surgery yet and their is worry the brain can continue to swell causing more damage. @bellatormma is suppose to be responsible for all medical procedures needed to fix this injury from the fight, however Cyborg is going to be unable to work for sometime and we will be putting together a #gofundme for Fight fans wishing To sponsor him And his Family at this difficult time. Thank you God for your protecion, The dr said this very Easily could have been life threatening. Please show your support for the fighters and share.”

Santos fell to 21-18 with the loss, but all anyone cares about with him right now is his health.

Gruesome photo below.

What a horrible looking injury. I have heard some big guys in the sport have helped him get some financial help to help cover his upcoming doctors bills and recovery.

Isn't Bellator responsible for any medical care that's directly related to the fight? I thought that was a standard part of any major fight contract.

I want to see what the other guy's knee looks like.

The other guy was fine. You should look up the video of the end of the fight. After he drops him with the flying knee the ref stops it, the fighter goes over to his corner and puts on a Pokemon hat and then turns around and throws a Pokemon ball at him while he's still lying on mat. It's literally one of the dumbest taunts I've ever seen. Bellator should find him for it, IMO.
