Id find the bastard and confront him face-to-face. If he's avoiding your phone calls, then he most likely has no intention of paying you so I wouldn't accept more promises. Ive done this before a few times - tell him you want to hold some of his property - something of equal or greater value - until he pays you. If he refuses - take it anyway. If he pulls out a gun - leave. Then come back when he's not at home and take it.
 
You have to be aggressive with these types of people. Either be aggressive - or kiss your money goodbye. Its up to you bro. Thats my opinion.
 
I hate loaning money any more. It's even worse when it's a friend or family member. At least if it's someone you don't know well than you don't feel bad threatening their ass. Everytime I loan money I regret it. The worst for me was a bro that I lent 2g's. Never saw that cash and he split town.

I hear ya bro. When it comes to getting gear for bro's, that's another problem. I fronted 250 dbol and 50 a50's so far after 6 months I've gotten paid for about 1/2 of it. You see those cocksuckers in the gym too bragging about their size when you know they got their on your $$ pisses you off.
 
About 8 years ago, before I was married, I kind of "collected" for a friend of mine. I needed money and they owed him so it didn't really bother me. You just ask him for the money, if he says he doesn't have it punch him square in the nose. Well on second thought don't take that advice.
 
I collect bad debts for a living the advice on getting something to equal value to hold is sound.If they don't pay then you make them pay eg. trash there car, probably the most successful way I do it is turn up at there place of work and make a bit of a scene humilation is what most people are scared of.

OK heres the update,

my buddy calls me bacl and claims he just got my smg's after 4 days. He calls me from his work too. I tell him to bring my shit tonight if he cant get a hold of his buddy. Doesnt call again or come by.

I work with his gf's/wife brother, so i can track him down if i really want to but im sure this guy just spotted some dude and now has to hide for a bit. I need that cash ASAP cause theyres always someone else above u. 8)

Last time i spot fake friends.....his prices will now suffer!
