Solid advice. Been doing this for years. It's all common sense but when I was younger I used to eat far too much before the gym and it would sit on my stomach. Sometimes I still eat more preworkout but I give enough time for the meal to digest. I will have to try his recovery factor product.

IMO anyone training for results should be concerned about this.

I knew this was going to be a John Meadows video before clicking the link!

Him and Scott Stevenson are huge proponents of centering carbs peri-workout. Good stuff. I'm not in the gym more than an hour, but I still feel better when I take in some carbs and protein immediately before and during the workout.

Amada, your well informed friend. Dr Scott Stevenson is the guy that took JP from 220 to 300 in his last off season. He's also the God father of high intensity training and hitting the same muscle groups three and four times a week with great success. He invented Fortitude training. I have been doing this for months now and will never go back to anything else. John Meadows and Jordon Peterson both are close friends and confer on many issues surrounding body building. NOTHING but the utmost respect for this guy.

I have been using Fortitude Training for a while now and absolutely love it. Scott is probably the most knowledgeable person in bodybuilding. He knows the science better than anyone and walks the walk to boot. Any podcast he's on or any article he writes I will take the time to check out.

I recently joined John Meadows' site, and have found a lot of solid information on there as well.

If I ever competed in bodybuilding, I 100% would hire one of them as my coach.

After years of experience I know I personally have to eat carbs before working out or I'll feel like shit and lack energy and then i can focus on protien post workout. BCAAs pre, during and post help me the most... just my personal experience after years of "experimenting" different techniques .. however I am far from a NPC or IFBB competitor.

After everything I have read I try to fit in as many aminos around training as I can. Combined with some carbs it helps me recover much faster from training. As the video states if you don't do an intra make sure your post shake is taken in straightaway. I even notice a difference in recovery from using an intra shake compared to a post workout shake.

I have done big meals through the day in the past but as I have got older I tend to keep most meals small. Around training if I eat a lot I feel sluggish and if training hard I feel sick. I like cream of rice or grits pre workout.
