Did Steroids in Underground Workshop Contain Heavy Metals?

The results of the heavy metals tests in recent revealed that 21% of anabolic steroid products from underground labs were contaminated with toxic heavy metals. Some more health conscious steroid users are also concerned about potential health risks arising from the contamination of UGL(underground lab) steroid products with bateria and/or heavy metals. Fortunately, bacterial contamination is not a common problem since most UGLs effectively sterilize the product by adding ingredients such as benzyl alcohol, etc. However, few people have actually considered the potential toxicity of using anabolic steroids contaminated with heavy metals. Given that most of the steroid powder is illicitly imported from China, the possibility of contamination with lead, tin, mercury, arsenic, etc. is a real possibility.

The main threats to human health from heavy metals are associated with exposure to lead, cadmium, mercury and arsenic. These metals have been extensively studied and their effects on human health regularly reviewed by international bodies such as the WHO.

Cigarette smoking is a major source of cadmium exposure. While for bodybuilders, steroid is the most important source of cadmium exposure.

Recent data indicated that cadmium exposure may cause kidney damage. The first sign of the renal lesion is usually a tubular dysfunction, evidenced by an increased excretion of low molecular weight proteins. It has been suggested that the tubular damage is reversible, but there is overwhelming evidence that the cadmium induced tubular damage is indeed irreversible. Another recent case-control study investigated the mercury levels were still associated with the risk of coronary heart disease.

Inorganic arsenic is acutely toxic and intake of large quantities leads to gastrointestinal symptoms, severe disturbances of the cardiovascular and central nervous systems, and eventually death. In survivors, bone marrow depression, haemolysis, hepatomegaly, melanosis, polyneuropathy and encephalopathy may be observed. Ingestion of inorganic arsenic may induce peripheral vascular disease, which in its extreme form leads to gangrenous changes (black foot disease, only reported in Taiwan).

Our SRHealthTech research team organize national and domestic reports on Steroids from UGL. Also interview some clients ordered bad quality steroid raws from UGL and we do test their raws by trial and error find most of UGL steroid raws contain the heavy mentals. So we write down this article.

Hey, haven't been on in a bit, but regarding ugl stuff having heavy metals and what not, that's why you need to always use a trusted, time tested suplier, and watch out for the ones that pop up out of nowhere. I'm not saying you can't trust new sources, in fact most give out free gear so you can test it out, a very good sign of trust, but in the end, life is risk vs reward :)

I actually like the post. He's probably right on the money with this imho. I can tell you with a ton of certainty that he's right on about the bacteria for the most part. If the UG lab is just that, a lab, and not some fucker making the shit in his or her bathtub. Yes the bathtub chemist can usually squeek by without anyone really noticing an iffy bacteria count. But it won't last because eventually they can't hide behind prop or whatever and too many people will be screaming about shit gear. Their are some UG's even domestic that actually have lab set ups and are very sterile and guys that know whats what know the difference.
As far as the heavy metals that brings up a very interesting point that to be honest I had never given a thought. Id have to say though that just using a somewhat educated brain in this subject I'd bet he's probably right. China isn't the easiest place to get quality stuff from unless you really know what your doing and who your doing it with and even then who knows. That why as mentioned above you gotta trust your supp. and hope he has your best interests at heart as some do. There are guys out their that care and test what the give you. That I know. Its finding them and getting them to stay safe and stay that way that can sometimes be the hardest part. So many things these good guys actually have to go through to stay safe and honest. Esp when low life fucks get jealous and try and fuck them up. Its not an easy road. Definitely some food for thought....AR....
