IMO, the biggest threat is the alliance that North Korea has with China and the harm that it can cause the economy.

Yes, the U.S. could wipe N. Korea off the face of the earth in mere minutes, but if China closes business with the U.S. it could be a slow, painful downturn in America.

This is a null point-

China and the U.S. economy are basically tied into each other so much that neither could survive without the other.

Plus China has slowed exports and started to observe sanctions it has in place with Korea. We really have nothing to fear in the way of military threat from anyone in the world, especially not Korea or China- I can see in the next twenty five years North Korea collapsing and just being handed over to China.
