Absolutely! The end of the pin will be blunted after you pierce the top of the stopper. They are cheap so switch it. Use a 18-19 gauge to draw and 23 or 25 gauge to shoot. Easy as and will not leave a big hole in you.

I always do. Especially since I draw using a 20g and poke with a 23g.

Agreed with everyone. You don't have to, but if you dont:
1- it's going to hurt more
2- your stuck using a lower gauge needle, I use a 25g most times and withdraw with a 20 or 22, it'd be a pain in the ass to withdraw with anything higher than 22, and a pain in the ass (literally) to shoot with anything lower than a 22 - especially if it was dulled by a rubber stopper.

Of course dude. Don’t safe on pins which they are so cheap anyway!!!

You can see on the microscope how dull the needle is after this. You should of course.

I use a 21G always wipe the top rubber stopper with alcohol use the same pin no big deal. Thats what the doc does.
