First time I'm having so much extra I can keep for months down the road and use next cycle.

Should I keep in packets, or transfer to vial?

Store room temp for months or in frig?

Room temp in packets. Opening it up and transferring to vials opens the door to bacteria and other contaminants. It's perfectly sealed and good to go for the future just like it is.

You can keep them in the original packaging in a dark, cool, room temp environment. You can transfer them in vials as well if you do it in a sterile environment.
