would using nolvadex during a cycle help to prevent or cut down on water retention?

it can a little, but arimidex is much better at cutting down water retention.

Just keep Arimidex within limits (0.25/EOD). If you have no estrogen in your system, it will shut down andro. receptors. (going out on the ledge with that one, but if someone can fill in more details, I won't be offended)
