What does the govt. do with confiscated steroids?

I want to believe they are "destroyed" but after seeing some of the guys who are enlisted in the army in the gym, I am thinking otherwise .. *sigh*

As strict as the government is with controlled substances I'm sure that they destroy them. I know pharmacies destroying controlled substances have to have the signature of three pharmacists or two pharmacists and a member of state law enforcement when they need to destroy controlleds. Then they forward the Form to the DEA.
