What is your preferred PCT protocol & why?

I have allowed myself to just flat out crash after most cycles & the worst sides I've noticed is depression, loss of sex drive, & weight loss. Nothing extreme. I'd like to get into a better habit. I've most recently came of using GnRH (triptorelin) & felt great. I've never taken nova or clomid & have no real good answer as to why. Just looking for some good feed back.

no good reason why not to do a proper PCT but three good ones to do a proper PCT. i haven't done a PCT in a couple years. 200mg of test is my PCT. not sure why you would want to crash unless you wanted to get on trt. that's just needless torture and counter production at it's finest. the standard clomid nolva pct protocol is easy to find and follow. trip works too. point is pct's are part of the game. you want to keep what your worked you ass off for and not feel like shit and maybe boink the old lady then do a PCT. you want torture then don't. should be a very easy decision

No doubt my crash was a boneheaded decision. I haven't crashed in a long time (2 years +) - but my pct has also been just a low test cruz dose. I guess I don't really consider staying on test a true pct, but it's what's worked for me as well. That's what I'll continue to do.

Populus54 - with a 200mg cruz - did u take anything to combat estro? Or have any issues with it?

I follow I think. I have aromasin always and letro always but I have not needed them. I like aromasin a lot. Good stuff. In the last couple weeks I've been using it but I'm not really cruising yet. After I'm done with DNP I'm gonna lower my test back done to 200 and I'll drop aromasin too. If I need it I'll have it. I used aromasin in my pct's in the past like dudcki but with clomid instead of nolva and it's a better alternative to nolva in my opinion just for the increased IGF alone.

Just a few of my thoughts...

I have never tried aromasin and nolva for pct so will have to see how it works for me. Often things that don't make complete sense on paper work the best so will have to try it out. I say that as although aromasin destroys most aromatase enzymes present there shouldn't be too many as after cycle you're shutdown. Aromasin to me is the perfect AI for when on cycle due to it's ability to stop test from converting to estrogen. But if there is no test present then it's impossible to do that. Although one reason it would be great is the fact it is a great test booster. I have seen studies were it increased total and free test levels. Moreover there won't be any estrogen rebound either.

I know many like clomid but I personally feel like crap on clomid. I think clomid has it's uses but it's not for me. People also take far too much clomid. They try 300mg the first few days and wonder why they are an emotional wreck :eek: I remember crying to the Simpsons on clomid :D

Armidex wouldn't be as good as aromasin for pct as it's a class II aromatase inhibitor. Aromasin is a class I meaning it is suicidal so it destroys the aromatase enzyme. Adex just competes for the enzyme but doesn't disable/destroy it. As a result adex will cause an estrogen rebound.

Nolva is a great drug and it is usually the only thing I use for pct. But I can see why it's popular when combined with aromasin. Even down to the fact aromasin will help with the lowering effects on IGF-1 nolva can bring. I can see the two drugs really complementing each other well. I will definitely try the two together cos like with everything bb wise you only know until you try it.

Aromasin in is my AI of choice for sure. I will be very interested to see how your pct goes bro. As for Clomid your right 300 is just overkill as I hear many complaining of the sides when just using 100 mg Ed for the first week. 50 Ed seems to be the sweet spot for me. I also find taking the pct meds before beds helps me with the sides as well

Yeah I think a nice simple pct that includes clomid would be...

Weeks 1= Clomid at 100mg
Weeks 2-3= Clomid at 50mg
Weeks 1-3= Nolva at 20mg
Week 4= Nolva at 10mg

Even 50mg would do good. I also tend to take my meds pre bed too.

Incidentally 20mg nolva has the same effects 150mg clomid just to give an idea. I blast and cruise but also come fully off at times so pct is always a concern for me. I am definitely liking the sound of nolva and aromasin. I came off cold turkey the other month and was surprisingly ok (been on for atleast 6 months). My joints were keeping me though so I went on 100mg deca and thought might as well add 100mg test to that :D I am cruising now and will blast when I can (then cruise) but the next time I come off (won't be for long) I will definitely try nolva and aromasin.

I noticed the op mentioned triptorelin. It sounds great but I wouldn't personally risk it. If your gonna use it don't go over 100mcg and don't use it again for awhile.

Are you running any hcg at all? I like a low dose if hcg 200-250 iu 2 x EW while you are on. Really makes a big difference especially if you are coming off

I don't but I should. I come off everything so that will help when I want a baby in the future. That's the main reason for me using hcg in the past. I have been told by a specialist that as little as 100mcg per week would be enough.

I agree it definitely makes a big difference but as I don't come off everything for too long (3 months at most) I don't see a huge need in taking it apart from having a baby in the future. I haven't taken it for about a year.

For anyone on a long cycle I used to love running it in intervals. Every 4 weeks on I would do something like 400IU e3d's for 12 or 15 days. Then 4 weeks more on cycle and back on the hcg. I preferred to run it that way as opposed to taking it every week. I get anxiety at times and HCG could worsen that at times. I would always make sure my last interval would start the night of my last shot of test. I would run it for the 15 days then start my pct. I think that is a perfect time for hcg but as you say taking it throughout a cycle should aid recovery greatly.

Nothing will make you hornier than 400mcg HCG... throw in some proviron and :eek: :D
