The US national team will be taking on Argentina in the semifinals of the Copa America Centenario after the No. 1 team in the world handled Venezuela 4-1 with relative ease in their quarterfinal on Saturday night. The USA took care of business two days earlier against Ecuador 2-1 on Thursday night in Seattle.

The Americans only have two all-time wins against Argentina in 10 meetings (2-6-2). One came in the 1995 Copa America held in Uruguay (3-0 in Paysandu) and the other in 1999 -- a 1-0 friendly victory in Washington, DC.
The last two meetings, one at the old Giants Stadium (2008) and the other at the new MetLife Stadium (2011), finished in a draw.
