Disney buys Lucasfilms

[AnaSCI]

Do you think they will do Star Wars justice?

Disney buys Lucasfilm for $4 billion

[Rory]

Personally doubt it. Maybe an animated version.

[AnaSCI]

They are working on Episode VII now and plan to continue on every 2yrs with another movie. They also plan on making a TV series as well. Time will tell though?

[Rory]

See I think a TV series would kill it. Hopefully Im wrong an it comes out great. But I cant think of a single series that came out after better then a movie. Disney is all about creating something for profit. Where Lucas films created a whole new experience people hadnt seen.

[basskiller]

I think they will..

[SURGE]

As far as movies go, I think will continue on very well. They have the resources and as long as they follow suit in Lucas' footsteps it should be the continuance of a great saga!

Not sure a tv series is needed or wanted? Disney is a business first and foremost though, so they will maximize every avenue and squeeze every nickle out of the Star Wars name that they can!

I look forward to seeing the films! Disney has a pretty good track record!

I'll watch them like all the rest...I like the Star Wars movies.....

[odin]

They will do fine and will surely recoup the money they spent on the deal very quickly.

I'd be interested to see what they come up with for the next trilogy!
