does anyone know anything about toilets

my toilet is constantly running. The water is seeping out of the tank through the seal that the overspill tube sots on. the seal has been changed but the water still leaks. I can hold the tube down with my finger and the leaking stops I'm curious if there is supposed to be some type of weight sitting on top of the cylinder. I do not have the traditional flap. It's a tube with a seal on the bottom.

They both suck but the white has been replaced by am std cause its a shitty flush mechanism..
Black fluidmaster fill valve on left is 7 $ to change.. aye matey and if you put bleach tabs in tank the bleach makes the parts fail twice as fast

Ok so it needs new ring on bottom of tower assembly.. turn off water to shitter, flush. Grab base of white tower and turn ..new ring and gtg.
