Ink Costs More Than Human Blood

The whole ink thing is a scam. I think its the damn cartridge that costs so much. The printers cost less than all the ink carts combined. Total scam IMO.

No shit whole ink jet printer costs 30 bucks at wally world the cartrage is 25 bucks a pop over the life of the printer they make thousands pretty good racket for them.
HP has settings on 'some' of their printers to detect if the ink cartridge is remanufactured, OEM replacement (even if new), or the ink has been refilled. Most of them will have a small microchip in the cartridge to detect these...It surely is a monopoly/scam...

That should be f$%&#% illegal!!! imagine if cars were built this way and you couldn't go to Autozone to get a starter. You had to buy it from the dealer only.
Gotta outsmart the printer and disable micro chIp device and fill and go. Ill see if I can post video.

Lexmark Rip off Cartridge Scam Security ID tag anti competitive practices
Lexmark prevent users from buying cartridges or better still refilling used cartridges, they do this by having a ID near field readable chip located on the top of each cartridge, the printer uses this chip as a reference to identify the cartridge and determines by way of pages requested the use of the cartridge. If you refill the cartridge the printer has no way of knowing this and does not care, it still thinks the cartridge is spent. Removing the ID tag from a new cartridge and placing it on the refill cartridge allows the refill to work because the printer actually thinks it has new cartridge, but the page count for the new ID has started to decrement. This means you can not purchase replacements or refill originals without sourcing a new ID tag, and guess who has the monopoly on these? Yes you are right LexMark? I am pretty sure this contravenes EU laws? What do you have to say on the matter LexMark? Where can customers obtain these ID tags?
