UFC 157: Rousey vs. Carmouche

I can't stand Rousey, she gets on my nervous system bad. Just something about her bothers me...lol

If Carmouche can defend the subs then I think she'll take it.
 
Overall it should be a good card....lol, but we know how those "should be" cards tend to turn out.

I'm more excited about Hendo and Machida more that anything. They are two of my favorite fighters and I don't really know who I'm gonna pull for.

Machida fought like he always does...Hendo just wasn't gonna make a mistake by being too aggressive and unfortunately for him Machida won every rd by out pointing Hendo. I don't care what the judges said either. Hendo didn't win a single rd IMO, and it's pretty fucking ridiculous he one the fight in 1 of the judges eyes. He basically had 1 semi takedown and landed very few significant shots. MMA judging is almost more of a joke than boxing!!!

The sorry ass disrespectful fans had no right booing Machida. I fucking can't stand douche bag fans like that. Machida is one of the most respectful fighters in the game and didn't deserve the boos. Machida fought exactly like he does every single fight as a counter striker....and like i said, Hendo was the one who fought more conservatively, NOT Machida.
 
I've been in the MMA world and been fighting pro for the past 6 years-

That being said I can't stand to watch MMA any more. I will only watch a card if I have a friend fighting but otherwise the sport is a bit of a joke when it comes to the big show.

I agree to an extent...

The main cards are what is/are becoming the joke IMO, when it comes to the UFC anyways. I much prefer to watch UFC prelims and Bellator over a UFC main anyday. Right now the Bellator events are much much better.

I mean gimme a break...court Mcghee and josh neer on a main card....lol pffftt, Neer is a has been and Court is still a prelim card fighter IMO.
 
There is a lot of politics behind who gets on the main card, that usually has to do with MMA teams and the trainers pushing for one of their guys for a main card slot. So if some one gets bumped from a main card Joe Silva will call up a manager of a team and promise the next card will feature of the team fighters on the main card. Really has little to due with ratings a lot of the time.

The joke is not always the show, but Zuffa and what they have done to this sport, while people credit them for making the sport big and popular they have as well really put the fighters in a bad spot with the way they manage the fighters and their lack of respectable treatment of them. It's just flat out exploitation. Zuffa controls who sponsors you, if they don't like a sponsor you have they will tell you to drop them or cover the sponsor on your shorts or just cut you. It's really fucked and I was at the fighters summit a few years ago and it's just total shit. They make you manage all your social media and play their game exactly like they want you to or they cut you. It's really a bunch of shit these days.
