Anyone have any experience with these? The only affordable vertical bandsaws I can find are for cutting wood, and I'm given to understand that they can't be easily converted to being used for metal. Is there a decently built, affordable option for a full size vertical band saw that works on 120v and isn't a complete piece of shit?
The only option I've been able to find is using a portable bandsaw and mounting it on small stand. I don't hate this option, but it quickly gets into the $4-500 range, and I figure it I'm going to spend that much I might as well and see what I can get in the $800-1000 range. Here's a link to the portaband table. SWAG V4.0 Portaband Table
I'm not opposed to the portaband table, it's just very small and a little limiting. But, if that's my only option for under a Grand, then I'll go that way.
