I've been reading some of these and can't help but wonder. What kind of time are they facing? Is it a let sentence lets say 1 oz 2 years or is it depending on the judges mood?

I would like to like that as a sign of thank you but it sounds like a shitty deal it sucks and I can't like itIf the case is taken Federal then you are at the mercy of the judge. It does not matter what the lawyers say in the way of recommendations, the judge has the final say. The Federal guidelines are just a basic reference and the judge is not bound by those any longer. The pre-sentence investigator (who works directly for the court/judge) interviews the defendant , their family, employer, etc is the one that the judge usually listens to.
There are so many different factors that go into the amount of time someone is going to receive. For example, if you have a gun (even legal) that has been put into evidence as being "with business product" you are receiving a year off the bat for that regardless of the rest of the charges.
With steroids there are so many variables - whether you are busted with finished products or raw materials, the street value amount the Feds decide to tag you with, money laundering, etc.
I have seen all sorts of different sentences from guys getting 1-2yrs in with 3yrs probation to guys getting hit with 15yrs suspended sentences and years of probation, major fines, to people losing their cars/houses, etc.
But juice unless abused like Chris Benoit
I'm not planning on getting into the industry. It just made me wonder. You have things like lsd that can swnd you to jail for life. But juice unless aboused like Chris Benoit
Once the autopsy came out the doctor said that steroids had nothing to do with his situation. His Test levels weren't remotely high enough to contribute to what he had done or even suggest 'roid rage' played any part.
They found anti-depressants, pain meds, and high levels of alcohol in his system. Those results weren't brought back up to the media because steroids were very high in the news at the time and that is where the story was left. The only way you could even find the autopsy results and doctor's comments were from searching on the net.
