Setting in the E.R.
I was doing leg press today. Had 900 lbs on and got it up 8 times with out a problem. The 9th rep I felt a pop and my leg kind of locked up. I left and it started to hurt more after I drove home. Wife make me come to the E.R. they did a CT were waiting for results now. He thinks it may be a torn guad.

Thank you it turned out to be a torn quad. He said I just can't train lower body. IT'S GOING TO KILL ME. But I'm going to take a week or two off all together

Never tore anything. I don't think it's a huge tear. It's at the upper most part. I don't feel any pain on my leg. It's more so In my lower right ab area

Hang in there Chaotic. We are right there with you in spirit. ER's are a pain in the butt. Really hate you got hurt. Unfortunately, its all part of the game, but you are going to get through this and be better than ever. Might take a little time tho. Wear this war injury with pride brother.

Doc told me I will be out of the gym for a little bit. I asked if 3 months. He said it shouldn't be that long. So it's not as bad as it seems. But damn it sucks. I can walk on it. But the wife tells me I walk like yo Sammy samm from bugs bunny.

I'm just wondering how long these things take to heal? Should I keep a high protein diet to help it heal faster or just take a normal diet for now?

hi protein. I have been told that after surgeries by medical folks. Your body is repairing. Give it the blocks it needs to build that house. That fact that you have been active and have a hi-metabolism will be a big plus in your healing. I bet you will be surprised how fast you'll bounce back. All that time in the gym is about to benefit you in a way you didn't expect.
